Realistic Representation
The R42 Bariatric Nursing Manikin is designed to represent a 145kg (320lbs) female patient. Its lifelike features provide an accurate training experience. Though the actual manikin weighs much less.
Although the manikin weighs 48kg (106lbs) more weight can be added on request to the limbs and body

Realistic articulated Limbs
The manikin’s arms and legs mimic the weight and challenges of caring for a bariatric patient. This is very relevant to the transfer of Bariatric patients throughout their journey through the healthcare system. This realism ensures effective training.
The revolutionary limb articulation means that R42 may be positioned in lithotomy and catheterisation positions. As well as realistic positioning within the operating room, and may even be placed in the prone position.

Advanced Airway Management
Grade 2 airway as standard, with optional Grade 1 if requested. Practice intubation with chest rise, ensuring that healthcare professionals are well- prepared for various airway scenarios. The Airway will take an Endotracheal tube and supraglottic airways such as LMA and Igel.

Ethnicities and Gender
R42 is available in a variety of skin tones and will be available in African and Southeast Asian versions with accurate regional facial features and skin tones. In addition to this a male version will be launched within 2024.

R42 has realistic teeth that can be changed easily.
